Cousin Leah Visit

Had a nice get-together with Jake's cousins from KC & Julia's little baby cousin, Leah (in Bloomington). Leah is so active crawling around & standing on her own. So fun to get the cousins together. Below, you see Kennedy & Julia in matching outfits... a Giggles & Grins design. Such sweet outfits! The are cute from the back too!

Barn

I got Julia this plastic barn below. She loves playing in it & going down the world's smallest slide! I thought it would be great to have in the basement, once that is finished. Speaking of the basement, Jake has been working very hard finishing it this past year. We decided to pay to have drywall installed & they are coming next week! So excited. We will have an extra bedroom, bathroom & family room/playroom (and small wet bar area). It will be wonderful to have toys downstairs.

Extended Family Visit

Had a nice visit with some extended family that lives in California. They drove from California...long drive! Julia had fun with her Cousin, Kate (not sure how the x's removed works, so we will just say Cousin) & they had a nice wagon ride.

Pretty New Sweater

Julia's GAD (Grand Aunt Dean) knitted her the most beautiful sweater. I am sure you will see it in future posts! Thanks GAD:) PS: I love this picture of you 2 together.

Father's Day 2008

It really didn't cross my mind that it wouldn't be easy to put finger paint on her hands & press them onto a piece of paper. In my head it all went very smoothly, I would dip her hands in the paint she would press them PERFECTLY on the paper, then we would both smile & admire the masterpiece. In real life she freaked out & I had to force her to press her hands on the paper while she had a panic attack...good times!

Visit

Aunt Carrie was in town over the weekend so this morning we stopped by Aunt Gail/Uncle Erick's house to see her. Papa Jonah has been staying with them so that was an extra bonus seeing him as well! Aunt Gail has some very fun toys that Julia likes playing with...none of which take batteries!!! That is a nice change from our house, you can't take one step without some toy blasting out some annoying tune, ah the good old days!

Bloomington Weekend

We had a nice weekend in Bloomington visiting with family. GG Mary & GG Charles drove up from KC to see us! Sunday we went over to Kennedy's to swim in her pool, Julia was a bit nervous. Hopefully the next time she won't have such a hard time.

"Bear Crawl"
