New (used) Swing Set

We had been thinking of getting a swing set for Julia for the backyard. I had an idea to post an ad on craigslist to see if anyone would trade our elliptical for a swing set. Amazingly enough I had 5 or 6 replys. The lady that I ended up trading with was so sweet & so excited about getting the elliptical, it worked out perfect. I was looking for a certain brand that is known for quality & even though this one is 7 year old it is still in really good condition. I think once we stain it, it will look great. Jake got it all back together yesterday & Julia loved it.

PS. Thanks Uncle Brad & Uncle Joe for your help! We couldn't have done it without you. Also, thanks Geea for working like a dog & scrubbing all the mold & fungus off of it...we love you!

We are taking a class on Friday mornings & Julia really loves all the singing. It is a lot of fun!

Ballet Class #2

Julia had her 2nd ballet class & I think it is official she loves it! She loves dancing with her friends, Morgan & Alex. Grandma Kathy even came & watched her do her thing!

1st Day of Ballet Class

Julia had her 1st day of Ballet class today & she did great. I was kind of nervous about how she would do, because, they are in the class with out the parents. It helped that she walked in with her friend, Morgan. I could tell she was a little shy at first, but, she warmed up quickly & was dancing before I knew it. There is a big window the parents can look into the room & watch, which was great (it is like the line up windows we can see them, but, they can't see us). They were hysterical to watch. I couldn't believe how well they all listened & followed the teachers instruction. It makes a mama proud!

Labor Day Weekend

We headed to my parents lake house on Saturday and stayed over so Julia could have 2 days in the sand (lucky her). Day 2 was way better then day 1. She wouldn't get off of my parents lap for a second & sit on her own...on day 2 she basically stayed on the chair the entire 6 hours, but, didn't scream. She just sat there & washed stones off. At least we don't have to worry about her wandering off. The picture of Jake & her in the sand was very short, but, this is major progress people! She better get used to it for next year, because, we plan on spending a lot of time there!!!

we love our new stroller!

We got this new stroller as a gift & we LOVE IT! It has been the biggest life-savor & Julia feels so cool in her big girl seat. I feel like we can actually go places so easily now...!!!
